Edgar Momplaisir - An Original Voice in Television Production

An established presence in the entertainment sphere, Edgar Momplaisir is a TV writer. Over the past decade, he has written for wide-ranging TV shows broadcast on Fox, Paramount Plus, Netflix, ABC, and Comedy Central. Edgar Momplaisir has also developed a number of TV pilots.

Mr. Momplaisir earned recognition as a Sundance New Voices Lab Fellow in 2018, and the following year served as staff writer for season one of the FOX/20th Century Fox production “What Just Happened?!?!” He subsequently worked on “Blackish” as an executive story editor and then writer-producer for “Star Trek: Lower Decks” for Paramount Plus/Titmouse.

Mr. Momplaisir’s most recent show was two years as supervising producer of the new animated sitcom “Everybody Still Hates Chris.” Beyond the television industry, he is an improviser at Uprights Citizen Brigade theater in Los Angeles. An avid NBA basketball fan, Edgar Momplaisir follows the New York Knicks (who are finally good) and admires perennial All-Star Keven Durant.
